We met – and exceeded – our Founders + 4 Matching Challenge.
Barbara and Ira Smith and four dedicated volunteers set up an $85,000 Matching Challenge as part of the Build the Way Home Capital Campaign. This challenge raised $173,000 through donations from 260 donors and the matching funds.
These donations will support the Household Goods plans to improve the safety for the thousands of volunteers, donors, and clients working at and visiting the Center; add space to prepare incoming goods for people in need; and expand capacity to serve both donors and clients.
Much has been accomplished to date, including a new road around the building, additional parking, and the commencement of internal renovations. These improvements made it possible to create an outdoor donor drop off and quarantine area so donations could safely be accepted during the Pandemic.
