Household Goods today announced that Middlesex Savings Bank has pledged to donate $75,000 to the Build the Way Home Capital Campaign.
The Build the Way Home Capital Campaign will support construction of a road that will circle the Household Goods building improving traffic flow; add an additional 4,000 square feet of building space; and create a second entrance to receive incoming donations. This will increase the space to organize and prepare incoming donations, and expand capacity for both people donating household goods and people in need receiving furniture and other essential household items to fill their empty homes.

Mike McAuliffe, president and CEO of Middlesex Savings Bank remarked, “Middlesex Savings Bank is so proud to be a supporter of Household Goods. We share the core value of trying to make our communities better for all who live here, especially those in need of items that many of us take for granted. Household Goods is a model for the rest of the community in seeing a need and filling it, and in their case, turning a house or an apartment into a home. Congratulations on your 30th anniversary and a standing ovation for the thousands that you’ve helped along the way.”

“We are very grateful for this gift from the Middlesex Savings Bank,” said Sharon Martens, Executive Director, Household Goods. “Middlesex Savings Bank has generously supported Household Goods for the past 30 years. “This gift demonstrates Middlesex Saving’s Banks confidence in the importance of our mission, and its trust in our careful and efficient use of the funding.
