Edna Story, an early long-term volunteer, passed away on November 14, 2017. As trustee of the Edna M. Story Trust, Edna’s dear friend and founding Household Goods board member, Jill Henderson, launched this matching gift challenge in memory of Edna’s dedication to Household Goods. In a 2006 interview, Edna was asked why she volunteers at Household Goods. She said “I feel like I am helping people who need help. It is a wonderful feeling. I admire all the people who volunteer here, I really do. I’m glad I could help along the way.”
