Household Goods was recently pleased to partner with locally-owned Bursaw Gas and Oil, Acton, to raise money toward Household Goods gas purchases, keeping the Household Goods trucks fueled and ready for donation pick-ups for months to come. In addition to this generous fundraising, Bursaw held a linens drive for Household Goods, collecting much needed bed sheets, pillows and pillow cases, and all sizes of blankets and comforters, essential to those in need at this wintery time of year.
When asked why he chose to support Household Goods, owner Jeff Bursaw talked about the important work done by Household Goods to support Veterans and other people in need making a new home.
Sharon Martens, Household Goods Executive Director, added, “We’re so thankful to Bursaw for hosting Gallons for Goods. Not only did it raise the necessary funds to keep our trucks on the road, but it served to increase awareness about our organization. This is critical, as we rely on the local community to help us help 2,500 families make a home every year.”
