Spring Break with Copper Penny Flowers

Let’s talk flowers while Jennifer demonstrates how to arrange and secure a springy hand-tied bouquet, ready for gifting or to drop right into a vase of your choice.

Hand-tied bouquets are constructed by taking the individual flower stems and arranging them directly in one’s hand to form the arrangement. Participants will work with an interesting mix of premium fresh flowers including roses, clematis, daffodils, parrot tulips, ranunculus, and sweet peas. Hand snips will be needed to participate in the class, and can be purchased as an add-on when with the class floral package.

The amount of flowers included are enough to fill a large quart-sized mason jar or a vase with a 3”, 4” or 5” opening, with the finished product between 8” and 10” tall. Jennifer will walk us through the different decisions that go into constructing your bouquet – leaving the stems longer or shorter depending on the size of your vase; choosing a tightly compacted look or a more natural open look to your arrangement; and more.

Registration for the class closes on Thursday, March 25.

A video of the class will be available afterwards for participants who register but cannot attend at 4:00 PM.

Supplies: We will provide a list of materials if you would like to purchase them on your own. Or, if you live in the Concord, MA area, you can order your supplies for delivery or for pickup at Copper Penny Flowers’ Concord store-front Friday afternoon or Saturday morning.
