Thanks to all who made the 3rd Home in One Golf tournament a success

On Monday, July 16, Household Goods hosted its third annual Home in One golf tournament. The event drew 67 returning and new golfers to Concord Country Club for day of great golf for a great cause.

Thanks to the support of many people, we raised over $40,000 through the tournament. This means that Household Goods is able to help 200 families by providing the furniture and household items they need to make a home. 

This year’s lead sponsors were Green International Affiliates, Inc., Westford, Clean Out Your House, Waltham, and the Kermisch family. 

The 18-hole round of golf was followed by dinner and an awards ceremony for top golfers. On the green, golfers had the opportunity to compete in a longest drive contest, as well as a hole-in-one challenge that had participants shooting for a Toyota Camry, sponsored by Acton Toyota of Littleton.

Acton Toyota was the Hole-in-One Sponsor, providing a Toyota Camry as the signature prize.

The Home in One committee included Barbara Howland, Pauline McCormack, Mimi Deck Rutledge, Melissa Saalfield, Sally Savelle, and Audrey Trieschman of Concord, Peg Gladstone and Beth Neeley Kubacki of Carlisle, and Priscilla Gannon of Andover. Karl Trieschman, Concord, enthusiastically led an auction to fund a need, telling the bidders that Household Goods can furnish a home for a family of four for only $200 and encouraging them to fund from one to five households; players came together to support this need, raising $8,000 in the auction.
