Previously, a generous Boxborough family offered a $100,000 Matching Challenge gift to help fulfill the last leg of the $2 million Capital Campaign to complete the Build the Way Home initiative. Originally the Challenge was to end March 31 but it has been extended to May 15. To date $80,000 of the $100,000 has been raised.
90% of the funds needed for the $2 million project have been raised, leaving $172,000 to complete the campaign. Every new gift received from now until May 15, 2021 will be matched 100% by the generous Boxborough family, up to a total of $100,000.The funds donated to date have made it possible for Household Goods to complete the road around the building, including volunteer parking and trailer storage area, and begin work on our 4,000 square foot building. Work is scheduled to begin on the new and improved donation drop-off area later this month.
With construction costs rising, we are doing all that we can to take advantage of existing pricing by securing funding necessary to schedule the last major stage of our project for completion this spring.
