Volunteers from Synopsys Tackle Major Painting Project for Household Goods

There is a fresh new coat of paint in the hallways, offices, and future sorting area in our new space today thanks to a team of volunteers from the Boxboro office of Synopsys – a California based software company.  Working from 9 am until 2pm today, the group of 30 volunteers donned their purple Synopsys shirts, took up their paint brushes, and made quick work of this large project.

Phil Morris, a Synopsys employee and regular Household Goods volunteer, got the paint rolling by connecting Household Goods Volunteer Coordinator Brigid Bieber with Synopsys Executive Assistant Nicole Harris, who coordinated the Synopsys crew. According to Harris, nearly half the office was able to participate. Brigid echoed all our thoughts: “It’s terrific that Synopsys encourages employees to use work time to volunteer on projects such as this.”

The group just jumped right in and did a professional job. There is no way Household Goods volunteers or staff could have done this by ourselves.  In addition to providing the volunteer labor, Synopsys also supported the event by purchasing the supplies and making a generous financial donation to Household Goods. Thank you!
