Donate Furniture, Beds, and Household Items to Household Goods

Household Goods provides a full-range of good quality donated furniture and household items, free of charge, to 2,500 families in need each year.  We owe this to the incredible support of our community of volunteers and people and businesses who thoughtfully donate furniture and household items that meet our guidelines.

Our volunteers understand and share the frustration when they are faced with turning away items donors would like us to take. To avoid this situation, we strongly encourage all donors to read the guidelines carefully. Some of them may surprise you, but they reflect 30 years of experience in the service of our mission.

To make sure that we can accept your items, please first check the guidelines, then double check that your items are clean, complete and in good working order. We cannot provide our clients with broken, chipped, torn, stained, incomplete, unusable or recalled items, and therefore cannot accept them.

To furnish 50 homes a week, Household Goods needs a steady stream of clean, usable:

  • dressers, tables, chairs, and other furniture;
  • mattresses and bed frames;
  • dishes, flatware, and kitchen items;
  • sheets, towels, and other bed linens;
  • and other household items.

Please see our donation guidelines below; download our guidelines here. Please note that we do not accept clothing, food or toys.

We thank you in advance for your support in helping us help our community.
